5,500 of these were produced during World War II for the Japanese Navy. This gun features the Japanese Naval anchor on top of the frame/barrel cluster. Each barrel was painted with a different color code to denote the type of flare to be used. Made by Kayaba Kogyo. Accompanied by the extremely rare original leather holster with shoulder strap. CONDITION: Retains 95% of the black enamel type finish with some minor wear. Colors on barrels show some wear. All markings are clear. Grips are fine with minor handling marks. Bores are all fine. Fine mechanical function. Holster is solid with some scuff marks and strong stitching. A small section on the flap shows leather loss. There is a stitched repair that appears period to the bottom of the holster. Naval inspectors marks on inside of flap are clear. GR
