Model 1896/97. Six shot, double action, marked WG Target Model on frame and the caliber .450/.455 stamped on left side of frame. Matching numbers. Checkered walnut grips with lanyard. All English proofs. The WG target models are rare, nickel plating ever more so, and a factory 4" barrel is almost impossible to find. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 90% original factory nickel with some light flaking and bubbling in small spots. Sharp legends. Fine bore and action. You might never see another such example. Comes with an original period flap holster that is maker stamped from Glasgow. This gun comes with paperwork dated 1966 where this gun was sold as part of the collection of William Dowell, author of the Webley Story. Also has letter where Dowell had this gun fitted with adjustable rear sight in an invoice sated 1913. This gun is pictured in his book. DB
