Beginning production in 1921, a total of 54,000 Handy Guns were produced before the National Firearms Act in 1934. Due to their numerous (albeit small) variations, these were found to be popular firearms during their time, and are still found to be quite popular with collectors today. The case colored frame is marked "H&R HANDY-GUN" on the left side with the two line Harrington & Richardson address on the right. 12 - 1/4" barrel is blued and marked "410-12m/m CHOKE" over the chamber. Matching numbers include the frame, barrel, and forend. Bead front sight with notch rear sights on frame. Chamber measures 2 - 1/2" with a full choke. Smooth walnut forend with checkered walnut saw handle pistol grip. CONDITION: Frame shows some wear to finish and exhibits some corrosion, but retains pleasing amounts of its factory applied case colored finish, with the exception of the bottom of the frame, which case colors have dulled. Barrel retains most of its factory applied blue finish, exhibiting handling marks and some light corrosion all around, as well as some wear around the muzzle and a nick to the muzzle on the right side. Bore is shiny and bright. Wood furnishings are very good to excellent, showing some light smoothing to the checkered and few handling marks. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM WILL INCUR A $5.00 TRANSFER TAX IF TRANSFERRED ON AN ATF FORM 4. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 CLASSIFIED AS "ANY OTHER WEAPON". MLW
