The factory letter states this revolver was shipped on October 28, 1902 in a shipment of 23 guns to Simmons Hardware Co St. Louis with a 6" barrel in .41 caliber with blue finish. Grips were not listed and are standard gutta percha. CONDITION: Wonderful. There is a hint of muzzle wear on barrel but still retains 99% of the brilliant factory blue. The ejector housing retains 90% blue with some freckling. The cylinder has overall high edge wear with at least 85% brilliant blue present. The left side of the frame retains most of its original bright case color. The right side retains about 30% color with balance patterned out to patina. The straps show little use or wear and retains most of their original blue and the grips are near mint. Sharp rifling with light frosting. Brilliant nitre blue on screws and top of hammer and trigger. Indexes and locks up correctly both single and double action. A fine high condition long barrel .41 Colt. DB
