A very fine .416 Rigby Safari rifle with a bright bored 25" barrel. The barrel has a spearpoint double tapped, square bridge rib with express sights one standing at 100 yards and two folding leaf sights at 200 and 300 yards. The ramped, hooded, and bladed foresight is affixed to the barrel band with barrel and band, both ported. Barrel is also fitted with an eye for sling. Right side of barrel is signed by "John Bolliger" and reads "RIFLEMAKER" both in gold. Left side reads "Four Sixteen RIGBY" all in gold. Action is built with a Model 70 style three position safety, Five panel checkered bolt handle, nicely jeweled bolt body and magazine follower. Left side of action is engraved in gold with the rifles serial number. The magazine floor plate, trigger guard and trigger are in a matte black finish. The walnut stock is handsomely fitted with a shadow line cheekpiece, thick and sharply checkered pistol grip with grip cap/cap box and a newer orange Silvers style pad. The forend has matching checkering and a nice rosewood forend tip. The rifle is also nicely fitted with a quick release mount system and Zeiss Diavari-C 1,5-4,5x18 rifle scope. CONDITION: Near new. Barrel retains 99 percent blue with a few minor handling and storage marks. Stock and forearm are in excellent condition with a few small storage marks. Very nice big game safari rifle. CP
