H&R produced approximately 54,000 of these guns between 1921 and the passage of the National Firearms Act in 1934. Very popular for both home defense and the hunting of small game, it's no wonder why so many of these were produced. There are also numerous small variations, making these fun and interesting to collect. Marked with the Harrington & Richardson address on the right side of the receiver, "H.&R. HANDY-GUN" on the left side. Barrel is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. 410 GA.CHOKE". Blued barrel with a case colored frame. Checkered wood grip, plain wood forend. Matching numbers. CONDITION: Fine with 80% striped case colors on frame and some minor surface rust and discoloration. 80% barrel blue. All markings are clear. Wood has some light handling marks with sharp checkering, showing wear. Minor crack in the left side of the forend where it meets the attaching iron. Bore is fine. Fine mechanical function. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM WILL INCUR A $5.00 TRANSFER TAX IF TRANSFERRED ON AN ATF FORM 4.
