A licensed version of the Czechoslovakian ZB vz. 26, the Bren served the British military forces from the 1930's all the way until the 1990's, seeing use in as late as the Falklands War. This semi-automatic Bren was manufactured by Inglis in 1943 and converted to semi-automatic by Wise Lite Arms. The left side of the receiver reads "WISE LITE ARMS BOYD, TX/ MOD. BREN MKI/ CAL. .303 SEMI AUTO/ SN. WLA28-6T7542". The right side of the receiver is marked "BREN MK I" and "INGLIS/ 1943". Bren is complete with a metal crate filled with twelve magazines that are coated in cosmoline. CONDITION: Metal components retain vast majority of reapplied finish, showing minor cosmetic wear and small areas of rust of the bipod. Bore is dark, but retains strong rifling throughout. Buttplate does not fit properly and is loose. Bolt does not move forward without some assistance. Wood components are good, showing indentations and all around wear. A nice semi-automatic Bren with plenty of magazines to keep one firing at the range. MW
