Attractive Auto Ordnance 1928 Thompson manufactured in West Hurley, New York, in great condition in reproduction hard case with a nice assortment of accessories. Four 30 round stick magazines (Bridgeport, SW Co, Seymour, and U.S. C Co), and one “New York” 50 round drum, reproduction cleaning rod, and original West Hurley vintage owner’s manual included with this lot. Gun has familiar Auto-Ordnance and model 1928 markings on receiver with bullet logo Cutts compensator. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent original lustrous blue finish throughout with some loss of finish where charging handle rides in and on the high edges of the receiver, and where the buttstock slides on and off the receiver. Wood is near excellent with barely perceptible handling marks on the buttstock with a some of the glossy finish remaining, leaving a little nice dull smooth wood finish. Magazines and drums have near excellent lustrous original finish with a small area of storage corrosion at the bottom 7 o’clock position which does not in any way affect serviceability. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt is extremely fine. This is a select fire machine gun. A really nice grouping of a Thompson with desirable accessories. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO & RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2020-05-050
