Circa 1880s. A great "before and after" advertisement of a happy woman making lye "The New Way" and an unhappy one making lye "The Old Way." Red Seal Lye was manufactured by P.C. Tomson, Philadelphia. Beautiful color and image of women serving Red Seal Lye.
