The Mills Novelty Company produced the "Dewey" slot machine from 1899 to just before the stock market crash in 1929. With its homage to Navel war hero Admiral Dewey, whose likeness can be seen in the front casting and on the front glass of some slots, the patriotic Dewey was appreciated by operators for its reliability and earning capacity. This example of a 25¢ Mills Dewey with the two-bit emblem glue-chip front glass is in fantastic original condition. With original quartered oak finish and original Mills decals, all original nickel castings, coin head and backdoor, this is the Dewey to have if what you want is a good solid original machine. The two-bit operation is a favorite of collectors as most Dewey slots were nickel operation. The condition is exceptional for an original slot, there are no excuses, it plays and pays, has keys, and is ready for a new home.
