A stunning example of a Regina Corona style 35 bow front 15.5 changer with 2 upgrade options, an art glass front and an 8-day Seth Thomas clock marquee. Regina began making the style 35 in 1899 in several case variations, and in several wood variations. This case is rich walnut and in original finish. The Regina automatic tune changing mechanism holds 12 discs, and will play each disc twice in rotation with a single winding. The clock crest marquee contains the original Seth Thomas porcelain dial clock which has a thin 1" hairline crack extending from the center key hole to the number 6. The following is a excerpt from the original Regina marketing material: "The style no. 35 may be equipped with a high-grade, eight day clock. When so equipped, the clock is connected with the mechanism so that a different tune is played automatically every hour or half hour.". This clock is connected to the mechanism as described in the literature and will play the tune on the hour. The music box plays beautifully, with a deep rich sound very representative of Regina's quality. This music box is a beautiful original example of a style 35 and would be near impossible to improve on. Comes with 10 discs and keys.
