This appears to be a salesman sample for a tilt-spark cigar lighter mde for the National Selling Co. out of Allentown, Pennsylvania. The small size with working components would make it inefficient as a commercial lighter, but exactly keeping with the attributes of a salesman sample. Oak case with metal spark mechanism and fluid reservoir. Two screws remove the top where a small dry cell would be located for operation. Original brass label for the National Selling Company on the front and a tag marked "patented" on the back. Condition is excellent with original finish to the oak and aged patina to the metal components.
