This may be one of the finest pieces of cigar advertising in existence today. This is a figural Indian warrior cigar cutter and lighter in amazing original condition. Made for the Straiton & Storm Joe Brandt "Pinnacle Bouquet" New York Segars. The spelling for "Segars" dates this cutter/lighter to the late 19th century. The detail to this piece is amazing, from the statuesque 18" height, to the crisp detail of the casting, down to the original lighter wick in the shape of a birds head. The patina is all original gold-tone overlay, and this lighter cutter retains the original spear handle that covers the lighter spigot as well as the original drawer to remove the cigar tips. The lighter operated by being attached to a gas source underneath, and the flame emitted from the spear end when the handle was removed. The cutter operates by the sword handle protruding from the right side of the base and when depressed, nips the end of the cigar placed in one of the three holes. An absolutely phenomenal cigar lighter/cutter in near perfect original condition.
