Made with 25" chopper lump barrels which are fitted with matted quarter rib holding single standing leaf express rear sight. Transition to mid rib has foliate engraving, as does ramp to silver bead front sight. Tops of barrels are engraved “ARMAS GARBI SPAIN” and “WILLIAM LARKIN MOORE & CO WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA NO. 2”. Barrel flats are stamped with serial number, Spanish proofs, and caliber. Ejectors are fitted with spring loaded detents for rimless case. Coin finished sidelock action with reinforcing bolsters, features automatic safety (S inlaid in gold), bushed strikers, and double triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved in classic London inspired rose and scroll with makers name on bottom. Trigger guard has scroll on bow and serial number on tang. Nicely marbled, dense, engraved steel capped pistol grip European walnut buttstock features elongated drop points behind locks, point pattern checkering with double line border at grip, and gold oval engraved “RJB” on toe line and has beaded cheek piece on left side of stock, and terminates with a thin brown "Decelerator" brand pad. Matching long splinter ejector forend has Anson release. Wood in barrel channel is stamped “001”. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, with only a few light handling and assembly marks. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. A very interesting and collectible double rifle, worthy of a trip to Africa, Alaska, or a discriminating gun room! JSL
