Extremely nice matching numbers original Fabrique Nationale F.A.L. machine gun. Designated as "Light Automatic Rifle" (French: Fusil Automatique Léger), the FN-FAL has been marketed world-wide and was adopted by NATO forces in the Cold War era with great satisfaction and success. NFA registry indicates FN (Herstal) in the manufacturer/importer block, but there is a tiny Inter-American company import mark on right side of receiver. Right side of receiver otherwise marked with typical FN markings. Also barely discernible Israeli proof on right side of magazine housing and on magazine. Upper and lower assemblies serial numbers match. Includes one 20 round magazine. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with extremely fine composite furnishings which show some light handling marks. Bore is very good with some roughness. Bolt face is very fine. This is a select fire machine gun. The FAL rifle saw widespread military use in over 90 countries for over 3 decades. It is an effective battle rifle and fun at the range as a recreational machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
