Beginning production in 1921, a total of 54,000 Handy Guns were produced before the National Firearms Act in 1934. Due to their numerous (albeit small) variations, these were found to be popular firearms during their time, and are still found to be quite popular with collectors today. This Handy Gun is marked "H&R HANDY-GUN" on the left side of the frame with "HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON ARMS CO./ WORCESTER. MASS/. U.S.A." on the right, and "410-12m/m CHOKE" on top of the barrel. The frame, barrel, and forend are matching. Frame and hammer are case colored with the barrel, lever, and trigger guard being blued. Wood saw handle pistol grip is checkered. CONDITION: Frame retains good amounts of its factory applied case colored finish, showing thinning and wear all around. Barrel exhibits wear all around, showing through to gray. Bore shows evidence of firing, but is otherwise bright. Wood grip shows smoothing and some indentations to it's checkering, with dings and handling marks found on both the grip and forend. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM WILL INCUR A $5.00 TRANSFER TAX IF TRANSFERRED ON AN ATF FORM 4. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 CLASSIFIED AS "ANY OTHER WEAPON". MLW
