Lot consists of: (A) Springfield 1884 Trapdoor with blue action and barrel. "US" marked lock with 1884 dated breechblock. Buffington rear sight with blade front. Walnut full military stock with no visible proofs. Steel ramrod. CONDITION: 80% of an old reblue with sanded stock. Shootable bore with good mechanics. (B) Rare Model 1882 Chaffee-Reese bolt action magazine rifle made in 1884 with an estimated quantity of 753 made. Blued barrel with military style sights. Blued action with safety lever. Walnut full military stock with visible cartouches. Steel ramrod. CONDITION: Blue fading to silvery patina. Wood has been cleaned with cartouches still visible. Crack behind action. Missing sling swivel on trigger guard. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
