German WWII Heer M40 single decal helmet marked "EF68" for the maker of "Emaillerwerk A.G.", in a shell size of 68, with an illegible lot number of "x5x0". Shell retains approximately 80% of its original smooth gray-green paint, but a heavy coat of lacquer has been postwar applied. Interior retains approximately 90% of its untouched smooth gray-green finish. The German name of "Graf" is painted on the rear skirt in white paint. Heer decal is in 50% condition with the required era coat of lacquer present on the undamaged areas, which shows up nicely with a blacklight. Original zinc liner band is present and is untouched. Liner is present, complete, very dark, heavily worn and cracked, and has been treated. Original drawstring is present. Original chinstrap is attached, but is very dark, cracked, and has been treated.
