German WWII Heer M42 single decal helmet marked "NS66" for the maker of "Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG Schwerte", in a shell size of 66, with a lot number of "6723". Shell retains 95% of its original smooth gray-green paint, and appears to have been unissued with the normal wear after 75 years . Some dirt and paint freckles are present, mainly on the rear skirt. Interior retains approximately 95% of its untouched rough gray-green finish. A nice dome stamp is present. Original zinc liner band is present and is untouched. Liner is complete, in a medium tan color, and is very dry with moderate flaking and cracking. Original drawstring is present, but there is no chinstrap. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WZ
