Truly superb big bore gun made made with quarter matted rear rib that has two leaf folding sights and ramp blade front sight. Rear portion of rib gold inlaid in script "M. THYS & SONS, BELGIUM". Chopper lump barrels with proof marks on bottom, serial number, and importer stamp on flats. Semi beavertail forend is near full coverage point pattern checkered with engraved iron and engraved rotary release at muzzle end. Coin finished action is beautifully Bulino style engraved with large lifelike elephant on left, large rhino on bottom, and large cape buffalo on right side, all surrounded by well cut floral scroll in about 90% coverage. The reinforced action and reinforced top tang are floral scroll engraved. Beaded fences. Made with double triggers (front trigger articulated), auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. Trigger guard is full length with engraved floral scroll at bow and rear of tang. The steel capped pistol gripped buttstock with teardrops behind action is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist and has a nicely beaded cheekpiece on the left side and terminates with a Silver's type brand pad. Housed in a beautiful Marvin Huey oak and brown leather case with brass appointments and accessories. CONDITION: Extremely fine as likely test fired only. Retains nearly all original finish to both wood and metal. There is some staining on the trigger guard tang, but otherwise metal surfaces retain most all of their original finish. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Case is excellent with only minor rubs. A massive gun worthy of the finest collection. JSL
CORRECTION: Lot includes 43 soft nose and 24 FMJ round of .600 nitro loads, full box of 25 and partial box of 19 - 900 grain soft nose bullets, partial box of 24 - 900 grain FMJ bullets, 9 primers and 10 brass casings. Also included is a set of .600 loading dies.
