Receiver marked on left "MITRAILLEUSE AUTOMATIQUE PORTATIVE HOTCHKISS / BREVETEE S.G.D.G. CALIBRE 7 m/m / No 673 1910", as made by Hotchkiss for South America. Bolt, shoulder stock extension and bipod not present but gun does include five brass feed strips with 55 rounds of Chilean 7mm Mauser ammunition dated 1971. Barrel is matching serial number and serial number is preceded by a large "1" indicating this was the primary barrel supplied with this arm. Otherwise gun is non-matching and has some internals from another gun. CONDITION: Overall appearance & finish is good to very good with about 60% original blue finish remaining mostly turning to a brown and gray patina. Gas nut also exhibits mottled brown and gray patina. Mechanics need attention as bolt not present. Bore is mostly dark near the muzzle getting better as it approaches the chamber. Bolt face and internals are fine. This is one of two consecutively numbered guns in this auction. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
