Saginaw Production M1 Carbine semi automatic carbine with Israeli markings on the stock. Receiver made by Saginaw S.G in late 1943. Barrel is marked "I.B.M./11-43" with a typical flaming bomb ordnance mark underneath the date. Import marked under the barrel. Type II rear sight made by Saginaw (PI), front sight is Type II IBM marked (PO-B). Post-War Type III bayonet lug/band made by Inland (SI). Type III round bolt marked "SG" (Saginaw). "SG" marked slide as well. Type III trigger group, marked "INLAND". Marlin "M-U" marked hand guard and Winchester marked "W", Type III stock. "Circled P" acceptance mark on the stock. Stock also has a painted serial number (matching the gun), and some Hebrew markings. Comes with a Union Hardware marked "U", 15 round magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original parkerized finish with mild wear. Stock is fair with wear and scratches. Stock is cracked on the left hand side, behind the band, below the hand guard. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is very good with light wear. JWA
