Lot consists of: (A) World War II US M1 front seam fixed bale helmet with liner. The helmet is marked with the heat stamp "190A" on the inside front rim. The liner is marked "CAPAC" on the inside. CONDITION: The steel shell is in excellent condition and does not show any dents. The shell retains most of its original paint but has some tarnishing. There appears to be three faint stars painted on the front of the helmet. The straps have tarnished but show no major signs of fraying. The liner shows scrapes from being removed from the helmet but the interior is in very good condition with the leather showing some cracking. (B) Front seam swivel bale M1 helmet with painted 1st Lieutenant bar and liner. The helmet shell is marked with the heat stamp "981D" and the helmet liner is marked with the Westinghouse Electric Company "W". CONDITION: The steel shell is in very good condition and only shows minor stains and scratches from storage. The straps are in excellent condition and show little service wear. The liner is also in good condition and retains most of its original paint. The interior still has sturdy hardware with some cracking leather and stains. (C) M1 helmet liner marked with the Westinghouse Electric Company "W". CONDITION: Liner is in very good condition and retains most of its original paint. There are several scuffs and scratches from service wear. Interior is in very good condition with intact sturdy hardware. (D) M1 helmet liner with International Molded Plastics stamp. Liner is in good condition and shows scratches and scuffs from service wear. Interior displays intact hardware that is tarnished from storage. JD
