Made in 1920, this glorious double rifle made for "500/465 CARTRIDGE 480 GRN BULLET" and so marked at mid rib. Rear portion of rib is scroll engraved towards breech and matted before sights and has gold inlaid "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" at center of rear portion. The fully engraved hand detachable sidelocks with gold inlaid "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" at front. Frame is beaded and and bottom of action is near fully engraved with gold inlaid "ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR". The single right hand rolled edge trigger guard is blued with scroll at bow and gold inlaid serial number at front of full length tang which terminates at the case colored and engraved steel grip cap with trap. It has 26” ejector rifled barrels with concealed third fastener, spearpoint quarter rib with express rear sights: one standing (100 yards) and two folding (200 & 300 yards). Island base spearpoint foresight with fold up night (moon) sight, London proof at "Cordite 75 - 480 Max", bushed strikers, stippled nitro blued double triggers with the front articulated, long top strap over the comb, Scroll engraving with vibrant case color hardened finish, Walnut buttstock with engraved steel capped pistol grip with box and tear drops behind locks has beaded cheek piece on left side, gold oval near toe, sling swivel and with a black leather covered pad. CONDITION: Extremely fine as professionally restored. Retains nearly all superbly restored finish to both wood and metal with only minor handling marks. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. CP
