Lot contains: (A) Heer M40 single decal helmet, and (B) Luftwaffe M42 single decal shell. (A) Heer M40 SD helmet marked "hkp62" for the maker of "Sachsische Emailler und Stanzewerke", in a shell size of 62, with a lot number of "897". Shell retains 70-75% of its original rough gray-green paint with patina and freckling throughout. Interior retains approximately 85% of its untouched rough gray-green finish with freckling. Heer decal is in approximately 25% condition with lacquer present in the undamaged areas. Original zinc liner band is present and is untouched. Liner is complete, untouched, in a soiled dry medium tan color, with an illegible size stamp, with some light to medium fraying to the leather edges. Original drawstring is present. Original chinstrap with aluminum fittings is present with the leather being dirty and dry. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. (B) Luftwaffe M42 SD shell marked "ET66" for the maker of "Eisenhuttenwerke Thale" in a shell size of "66", with a lot number of "158". Shell retains 50-55% of its untouched blue-gray finish with freckling throughout. Interior also retains 50-55% of its original finish with freckling. Original zinc liner band is present with freckling, with just the liner felt attached. Luftwaffe decal is in 85-90% condition with the correct era-applied lacquer present. No leather liner is present. CONDITION: Overall very good. WZ
