German WWII Polizei M35 double decal combat helmet marked "NS64" for the maker "Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke Schwerte", in a shell size of 64, with a lot number of "D145". Shell retains 85-90% of its original smooth gray-green paint, with patina and some freckling. Interior retains approximately 95% of its smooth gray-green finish, with freckling and dust. Both the party and police decal are in approximately 85% condition, with patina, age toning, and scratches. Era applied lacquer is present over both decals and easily visible with a blacklight. Original aluminum liner band is present and is untouched. Leather liner is red brown with darker areas on the tongues, rim, and front, which is dry with several cracks on the tongues and areas of fraying. Drawstring is missing. Original chinstrap has a steel buckle and rivet, with the second rivet in aluminum. Chinstrap is dry with cracks. A nice untouched police helmet. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WZ
