Lot contains: (A) German WWII Heer M42 helmet marked "ckl62" for the maker of "Eisenhuttenwerke Thale", in a shell size of 62, with a lot number of "5642". Shell retains 70-75% of its original rough gray-green paint, with freckling over remaining areas, especially around the skirt. Interior retains approximately 60% of its untouched rough gray-green finish. A decal was applied to the right of the left side vent, but has been removed without damaging the paint, with only the outer edge being present. Likely to have been a postwar applied reproduction. Original zinc liner band with freckling is present, and while loose, it does not appear to have been replaced. Liner is complete, dark brown, with light wear, cracking, and damage. Drawstring and chinstrap are reproductions. CONDITION: Overall very good. (B) German WWII Luftwaffe M42 single decal helmet marked "Q66" for the maker of "Quist", in a shell size of 66, with a lot number of "I1421". Shell retains 90-95% of its original rough blue-gray paint. Interior retains approximately 95% of its rough blue-gray finish with freckling. Luftwaffe decal is in 70+% condition with the required era coat of lacquer, which shows up nicely with a blacklight. Original zinc liner band is present and is untouched. Liner is complete, untouched, in a medium tan color, with a size stamp of "58", and some light fraying. Original drawstring is present. Original chinstrap with steel fittings is present, with some very light wear, and maker marked and dated "1942". CONDITION: Overall excellent+. WZ
