German WWII Heer M18 transitional single decal helmet marked "TJ63" for the WWI maker "C. Thiel & Sohne, Lubeck", in a shell size of 63. Shell retains 85-90% of its original rough gray-green paint with freckling. Interior retains approximately 95% of its untouched smooth gray-green finish. WWII Heer decal is in 90-95% condition, with patina and aging. Removable leather carrying harness assembly, with era fittings, is over the helmet, and has been for a long time. Original zinc liner band is present and is untouched. M31 liner is complete, untouched, in a medium brown color, with moderate fraying around the rim and some aging. Original drawstring is present. Original chinstrap with aluminum fittings is present with moderate wear.. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WZ
