Lot consists of: (A) Remington Model 870 Magnum slide action shotgun. Made 1984. Action marked "REMINGTON MODEL 870 MAGNUM". Steel folding stock is marked "FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY" on the right hand side. Round smooth bore, steel barrel with bead front sight. Factory blued finish. Walnut, serrated for end and plastic pistol grip marked "REMINGTON" on both sides. Butt plate is marked "Remington/PATENT PEND". Cylinder bore, 3" chamber. Includes nylon sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish. There are some light white speckles on mostly the left side of the gun, possibly paint. Metal stock has a few freckles of surface rust. Fore end and pistol grip are very good with light wear. Shiny bore. Mechanically fine. (B) Springfield Armory Model 1898 Krag sporter bolt action rifle. Made 1902. Rifle has been heavily sporterized, with both the stock and barrel being cut down. Rifle has also been refinished with a heavy blue being added. Lyman ramped front sight with both a flip up u-notch rear and Redfield adjustable rear peep. Receiver has been drilled and tapped, two of the holes being drilled through the serial numbers. Stock has had a semi pistol grip added, in addition to an aftermarket Pachmayr rubber recoil pad. A hunting style safety on the bolt and aftermarket sling swivels have also been added. CONDITION: Metal contains 80% of its finish with light wear and some minor freckles of surface rust. Stock is fair with a large crack on the comb of the stock and on the butt near the sling swivel. Clean bore with sharp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
