A deluxe 26" Bohler Special Steel Over & Under African game rifle, circa 1958. Barrels with a full length matted quarter rib with a standing express rear sight along with a ramped front sight with brass tipped bladed sight. The top rib reads "MADE IN AUSTRIA" and ".375 HH MAGNUM" both in gold. This express rifle is also fitted with ejectors and quick detachable claw mounts. Along both sides of the front sight and rear mount is a slight bit of gold inlaid scroll. The breech end of the top barrel also has some Germanic floral engraving and border scroll. These barrels also benefit from the addition of a Swarovski 1.5-4.5x20 scope. This best boxlock is made on a strong and nicely figured European walnut stock with a length of pull of 13 - 5/8", recoil pad, checkered pistol grip, swivel studs and an engraved bottom strap which connects to an engraved steel grip cap which also houses a gold inlay of a Kudu. The scalloped and bolstered action with disc set strikers, a Miller single selective trigger, double Kersten crossbolt lockup, two piece forend and is non auto safe. The action is dark coined finished and is ornately engraved with Germanic scroll with gold inlays of ribbon, cape buffalo, elephant and rhinoceros. Complete with full length oak & leather case with canvas outer cover. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 98% blue. Stock and forend with some handling marks, but otherwise also excellent. Case is in very good condition with some storage marks. Very nice African game rifle. CP
