Manufactured by Fabrique Nationale under contract for Venezuela. The receiver is marked with the Venezuelan coat of arms over the chamber. Visible matching numbers include the receiver and the receiver cover. 10 round fixed box magazine is unmarked. Metal components are finished in black. Complete with a Stolla Wien leather sling, dated 1959. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their applied black finishes, showing some areas of high edge wear, as well as some areas of wear to the finish on the bolt. Muzzle brake shows some chipping around the edges. Bore is bright and retains strong rifling throughout. Stock shows some scattered dings and handling marks all around. Overall, this makes for a very nice and clean FN-49 Venezuelan contract rifle. MLW
