Confederate naval cutlass manufactured by Mole in England and clearly marked "Mole" on top of the blade, made for Courtney & Tennent of Charleston, South Carolina, which held a contract with the Confederate Navy. The blade is very clearly marked "COURTNEY & TENNENT, CHARLESTON. S.C.". Brass guard, checkered leather grips. CONDITION: Blade exhibits a mostly grey surface mixed with dark staining, leather grips show moderate wear but no damage, brass guard is slightly misshapen. DG
