M-1 Carbine made by the Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors in Saginaw, Michigan between May 1943 and May 1944. Saginaw marked undated barrel with "P" stamping and no import marks. National Postal Meter trigger group with other correct mixed parts. Flip safety and 30-round clip release buttons. Walnut low wood stock marked "Trimble" in sling well and "NPM / FJA" in box on right side of stock. Stock is not cut for M-2. Walnut four rivet handguard marked "IO". Comes with green woven sling, two "U" marked 15-round clips in 1952 dated belt pouch, an extra 15-round clip, 5-shot clip and two aftermarket 30-round clips in back to back fastener. Also comes with USM4 leather handled bayonet made by "Imperial" missing sheath. CONDITION: 60% Arsenal finish on metal parts with stock having been cleaned with visible cartouches. Good bore and mechanics. Accessories in good shape with bayonet having some finish added. DLM
