M-1 Carbine made by Inland Division of General Motors in Dayton, Ohio made between January 1944 and August 1944. Inland marked barrel dated 7-44 with "N" marked front sight and late style rear sight. All internal parts consistent with Inland production and marked accordingly. Walnut low wood stock marked with "K" in sling well and "STAR SAB 58" on left side (most likely an Italian Ordanance Marking) cut for M-2 switch. Non-import marked. Walnut 4 rivet top wood marked "HI". Comes with post war 15 round Saginaw clip. Comes with "CMP" paper. CONDITION: 50% fading arsenal finish on metal parts. Wood has been cleaned with heavy usage marks. Shootable bore with ME of 2. Good mechanics. DLM
