M-1 Carbine manufactured by Irwin Pedersen Grand Rapids, Michigan between April 1943 and May 1943 with assembly most likely done at Saginaw Gear Division of General Motors. Underwood marked barrel dated 2-43 with "N" marked front sight and "S" marked rear flip sight (marked near sight indicating possible replacement). "IP" marked trigger group with correct push button safety and clip release with all other parts marked "SG" and all other parts consistent with Pedersen production. Walnut "I" cut low wood stock with "SG" on right side and a "U" on left with "P" in circle on pistol grip. "IP" marked buttplate. Walnut 2 rivet top wood marked "RSG". Correct flat band front sling swivel. Non-import gun. Comes with 15 round post war clip marked "K.I.". CONDITION: 50% fading arsenal finish with some usage wear. Stock uncut for M-2 switch. Stock has dark finish with usage marks. Shootable bore with an ME of 2. Good mechanics. Hard gun to find in correct form. DLM
