M-1 Carbine semi-automatic rifle manufactured by "Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors" between April 1943 and June 1943. Underwood barrel dated 12-43 with unmarked front sight and correct replacement rear flip sight. Gun has gone through a rebuild with added bayonet style sling swivel. All internal parts are consistent with Saginaw production. Walnut low wood stock with "SG" marking on right side with crossed cannon cartouche. "U" marking on left side. Walnut two rivet top wood with "RSG" marking. Gun retains some parts from original configuration. Comes with 15 round "SY-B" World War II style magazine and "AI" marked 15 round World War II style magazine. CONDITION: 50% arsenal finish remaining with edges showing wear. Wood has oil soaked appearance with visible cartouches, no cut for M-2 switch and no visible repairs. Shootable bore with ME of 2 and good mechanics. DLM
