Springfield Model 1898 "Krag" bolt action rifle made in 1900. Blued tapered round barrel with integral blade front sight and rear flip adjustable Krag sight. Blued action with "Model 1898 " and "U.S. Springfield Armory" with serial number 263510 on left side. Walnut full military finger groove stock with "JSA 1900" cartouche on left side and "P" in circle proof on pistol grip with trap door buttplate with original ramrod and oiler inside. Walnut top wood. Blued stock hardware with front barrel band being a bayonet mount. CONDITION: 60% original blue on barrel and stock hardware. Reblued rear sight with cold blue applied to side of action. Wood has traces of original finish with some added oil. Top wood is cracked in two places. Good bore with good mechanics. DLM
