Springfield M1 Garand semi-automatic rifle with box. Made November 1943 with proper Springfield Armory marked "2-S-A-11-43". Import marked "EXEL/GARDNER,MASS" on the left side of the barrel. Springfield marked bolt, trigger group, and operating rod. Boxed "S.A./T" and circle "P" proof on the left side of the stock and wrist respectfully. Standard sights. Arsenal refinished at some point, with a new coat of parkerization applied. Unfinished front handguard with oil-finished buttstock and upper handguard. Checkered buttplate with trapdoor for cleaning kit. Includes unmarked web sling, manual, and shipping box. Throat erosion measures at 3, muzzle exceeds 4. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its arsenal reapplied finish. Wood is good with wear, dings, and scratches. Bore is frosted with fair rifling. Mechanically sound. Box is excellent. JWA
