Rib with file cut matting with vacancy around address and towards breech. Address is "Danl Fraser & Co. / 4 Leith St. Terrace / Edinburgh". Rear scope mount and rear sight affixed with fire blue screws. Light line engraving over breeches, rib has sprigs of scroll coming off of engraving and over the slim rib extension. Action flats with serial number and appropriate London proofs. Fraser scope with leather eye piece mounted on a compressible spring separate from tube to prevent scope eye. Tube engraved "D & J Fraser / GUN & RIFLE MAKERS / EDINBURGH" and "SOLE PATENTEES & MANUFACTURERS". Double thin duplex reticle, likely regulated for 100 and 200 yards. Inside of dovetail mount with "2078", matching serial number of rifle. Diminutive splinter tip forend with Anson release, engraved with scroll at release and exterior iron. Screw engraved with a roped border. Point pattern checkering runs all the way to the tip. Boxlock action signed "Danl Fraser & Co" in a ribbon on both sides of case colored action. Fences are relief carved with fluer-de-lis with scroll. Left and right sides of action are case colored, bottom metal is brightly blued. Knotwork border around action. Action flats with Fraser proofs and London proofs, serial number across flat. Automatic bolted safety. Sidepanels. Dual triggers, both checkered, in a flat profile trigger guard with long tang engraved en suite and ending at horn pistol grip cap. Point pattern checkering at wrist. Heraldric shield along belly along with a floral engraved sling eye. Wonderful intricately marbled wooden stock with horn buttplate. Leather wrapped case with "H. C. PIERCE / St. LOUIS" stamped on lid with brass accoutrements. Fraser trade label in lid. Accessories are numerous and comprise of a set of reloading tools, cleaning rod, leather wallet, brush, bone pot with bead front sight with flip up moon sight and sight tool, three turn screws with fluted handles, striker face wrench, threaded handle, mop and jag, and two snapcaps. Almost as incredible, when top layer is removed there are approximately 180 cartridges of factory .360 Express, 80 of which are still in the Daniel Fraser twine sealed packages, which is labelled as .360 Express loaded with 50 grains of powder and "Hcanl" bullets (Hollow cannelure?). CONDITION: Very good to fine. Barrels retain the vast majority of their bluing with a few minor handling marks and a few minor spots of silvering where forearm makes contact. Forearm is very good with a few minor handling marks. Action is excellent with a few very minor marks and a few extremely minor marks from handling, mostly at carry areas. Silver line at bolted lock. Stock is very good with a few minor marks, including one distinct pressure mark on left side near heel. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bores are very good with strong rifling. Accessories are very good with some evidence of use scattered throughout. Ammo is very good, belted ammo has some verdigris and patina, visible parts of packaged ammo commensurate. Case is rough with numerous areas of crazing, lifting, scuffs, and general use. Straps are missing and replaced with a pair of nylon straps. The pivot point along the back was repaired/reinforced with duct tape long ago and is starting to lose it's adhesiveness, exercise caution to avoid a split. This is a set with phenomenal condition, a plethora of accessories, and plenty of ammo to boot! EW

CORRECTION: This rifle is not a Nitro rifle and is a blackpowder rifle. Photos updated.
