Fine British “SECO” Sten MK II machine gun with “STEN MK II” visible on top of magazine housing. Typical flat black paint finish. Two original 32 round magazines included. The Sten machine gun is a very simple and straightforward machine gun made mostly of metal stamped parts. It was far less costly ($10.00 U.S. in 1942) and quicker to produce than any of the previous sub-machine guns the British had fielded, and were produced in great numbers for World War II. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is fine original flat black painted finish with some flaking away to show some gray patina, particularly at high the edges. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is fair to good with some erosion from midway down to the muzzle. Bolt face is fine. This is a select fire machine gun. The Sten is a very popular gun to take to the range. They are dependable running guns, and parts and magazines are readily available. Curio and Relic original Sten guns are actually rather scarce to come by. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2020-11-031
