M1 Carbine made by International Business Machine (IBM) between August 1943 and May 1944. One of 50,000 receivers marked "AO" indicating a wide tang receiver manufactured by Auto Ordnance. Barrel is marked with just "I.B.M. Corp" with correct "EU" marked front sight and correct "I.R. Co." marked late style rear sight. "DI" marked recoil plate, "Q-TX" marked fabricated trigger group with flip safety and "M" with line magazine release. Correct oval cut low wood walnut stock with no cut for M-2 switch marked with crossed cannons on right side and "LW-B" in sling well. Correct 2-rivet "LW-B" marked top wood. Correct period "DAQ" marked slide and "AI" marked bolt. Late style barrel band with bayonet stud. Non-import marked. CONDITION: 60% original arsenal finish with handling marks. Wood has visible cartouches with light handling marks. Good shootable bore with ME of 2 with good mechanics. DLM
