Lot consists of: (A) Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor single shot rifle made at Springfield Armory in 1890. Blued round barrel with blade front sight and missing rear sight and "VP / (eagle)" proofs. Case hardened breechblock marked "U.S. Model 1884" with 3-position "U.S. Springfield" lock. Walnut full military stock with correct hardware and original steel ramrod with "SWP 1889" and "P" in circle proofs. CONDITION: 30% original finish on metal with some pitting. Wood has dry appearance with storage and usage marks. Dark shootable bore with sticky mechanics. (B) Springfield Krag Model 1894 bolt action magazine rifle made at Springfield Armory in 1895. Blued round rifled barrel with integral pinned blade front sight and graduated rear flip sight up 1800 yards. Case hardened action marked "U.S. Springfield" with serial number "20165" and "Model 1894". Walnut full military finger groove stock with "P" in circle proof and early style plugged ramrod channel stock. CONDITION: 40% original finish with some light external pitting. Wood has dry appearance with usage dings and marks. Dark but shootable bore with sticky cosmoline covered mechanics. DLM
