M-1 Garand rifle in "National Match" configuration made at Springfield Armory with action made in June of 1944. This is a standard rifle upgraded to "TYPE II" configuration in the 1960's by the CMP. "SA" marked barrel with "NM" marking stamped on the left side above gas tube. Barrel is in correct time frame with date being "4-64". Correct front sight and National Match rear sight marked "NM". All parts marked with "SA" Code with cut op rod marked "SA" but not marked with "NM". Trigger group is late style stamped with all "SA" marked parts. Walnut "DOD" marked stock with "(Eagle and Three Star)" cartouche on left side and "P" in circle on the grip. Correct Type II style glass bedded action. CONDITION: 90% original arsenal finish remaining with some small handling marks. Good mechanics and bore with TE of 2 and ME of 1. A nice rifle. DLM
