Russian Tula SVT-40 semi automatic rifle with box. Made 1940 at Tula, as marked on the chamber. Right side of the butt stock has a nice Tula star, over "1943". Small import mark on the right side of the receiver, with the addition of an importer added serial number on the back of the receiver. Electro pencil matched bolt and trigger guard. Butt stock matches as well. Magazine is electro penciled, and does not match. Standard barrel with original slotted muzzle brake. Hooded front post sight with u-notch tangent adjustable to 1500 meters. Arsenal reapplied blued finish on the metal components. Lacquered wood stock and wood handguard, with metal butt plate. Includes web "dog collar" sling, tool, oiler and importer shipping box. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% or more of its arsenal reapplied finish with a few scuffs and scratches. Wood has a few dings, scratches and dents. Bore is lightly frosted, with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Accessories and box are very good overall. JWA
