Circa 2016. A robust, dangerous game double rifle with 23 - 1/2" barrels. The hefty blued steel barrels are fitted with extractors, matted quarter rib, white line rear sight, stepped (ramped) front brass bladed bead sight, and eye for sling. Rib also tapped for mount. Rear sight regulated for 50 meters (55 yards). Bottom of right barrel stamped "500/416". Bottom rib stamped with safety instructions. Lumps stamped with appropriate proofs, "KRIEGHOFF DE" and "500/416NE". The rifles sturdy boxlock action with hidden third fastener is blacked (resembling funeral model) with "KRIEGHOFF CLASSIC GERMANY" engraved on bottom action. The blacked and checkered top lever sits ahead of Krieghoffs large "Kick Spanner Manual Cocking" system slide. The rifle is also built with muted steel double triggers front being articulated. Triggers are protected by a blacked trigger guard. The dark and strong straight-grained European walnut stock is fitted with a full pistol grip with checkered panels, shadow line cheekpiece, sling eye, and a 1/2" black WEGU rubber pad. The barrels are supported by a matching walnut Schnabel forend with Deeley-styled latch release. Forend iron metal is blacked. The rifle lives in a green plastic and tan leather Krieghoff case. Case is nicely fitted with cleaning equipment, sling swivels, wrenches, and paperwork. CONDITION: Good. Barrels retain 98% original blue with some minor indication of use. Rifling is sharp. Action with minor signs of usage. Trigger guard with steel color showing through black on bow. Stock good with signs of use. Forend with some light signs of use. Action is tight and triggers are crisp. Rifle like new and ready for hunt with cleaning. CP
