German Berlin Luebecker duv 43 code G.41W semi automatic rifle. Made 1943 at the Berlin Luebecker factory under Walther's patent and assistance. "G.41 duv 43." marked on the left side of the chamber, followed by the serial number. "(Eagle) / 214" Waffenamts on the chamber, bolt, bolt carrier, safety front sight, trigger guard, and various other places. Faint, illegible Waffenamt and Heer mark on the stock. No import mark found. Matching serials on the receiver, bolt carrier, trigger guard, dust cover, nose cone, front sight, and stock. Hooded blade front sight with rear sight adjustable to 1200 meters. Original finish on the metal components. Magazine has a black enamel finish on it, possibly aftermarket finish. Laminate wood stock having been lightly refinished at some point. Black resin handguard. Includes attached reproduction leather sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with some general wear and handling marks. Wood has some minor dings and scratches. Excellent overall. Bore is clean overall, with some light frosting in the grooves. Mechanically fine. Sling is excellent. A very nice example of a historical rifle. JWA
