Scarcely encountered later style Japanese Howa Model 300 civilian sporter M1 Carbine style semi automatic rifle manufactured circa 1968. 19 - 1/2” parkerized barrel chambered for .30 Carbine. Fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight, similar to those occasionally seen on Howa carbines made for the Thai police. Checkered walnut 2 piece sporter stock with plastic butt plate, pistol grip cap and sling swivels. Complete with an original Howa 300 box and inspection card. CONDITION: Very good. Vast majority of original finish is retained with some wear to bolt and rail. Stock excellent with sling swivels still wrapped in original paper. Bright mirror bore with crisp rifling. Functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Box fair with corners torn and taped. BAS
