Winchester M1 Carbine semi automatic rifle. 2nd serial block made mid 1944. Barrel is undated but is Winchester production, with a "W" marked under the front band. Band is unmarked. Inland marked Type 3 rear sight. Front sight is unmarked. "BE-B" marked fabricated trigger group. Inland marked bolt. Saginaw Gear, "SG" marked slide and stock lug. "P" proof on the wrist of the stock. "AAI" rebuild stamp on the left side of the stock. "IO" marked on the left inside of the sling cutout. There is a rack number of "63" on the bottom of the pistol grip. Hand guard is unmarked. No import mark. Standard blade front sight and adjustable rear. Arsenal refurbished during the 1950s, being reparkerized. Oil stained wood stock with a checkered metal butt plate. Includes 1 15 round magazine, marked "U" for Union hardware. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its arsenal reapplied finish, with some wear. Wood has some handling marks and scratches. There is a splotch of black enamel on the bottom of the stock around the hole for the stock lug screw. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is very good. JWA
