Model Z-70 submachine gun manufactured by Star in Spain. Metal components are comprised of a mixture of stamped and some milled components, which are finished in a black "wrinkle" finish. Receiver is mounted with a set of grooved black plastic grips marked "F" on one side and "S" on the other for the safety. Left side of the receiver is marked "STAR" above the Star company logo with "EIBAR ESPANA/ MODELO Z 70". Right side bears a faint Interarms importer stamp, with the top of the receiver bearing a La France Specialties stamp from when it was registered as a machine gun. Bolt and barrel bear Spanish flaming bomb proofs. Features include a dual function trigger reminiscent of the German World War II MG-34, under folding stock, hooded blade front sight, and a flip rear peep sight with graduations of 100 and 200 meters. This example is accompanied by an original Star Z-70 cardboard box, 2 magazines, leather sling, cleaning rod, and Model Z-70 manual. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their black wrinkle finish, exhibiting a few areas of wear and nicks that show through to silvering. Mirror bore, with well defined rifling throughout. Black plastic grips show a few minor nicks and marks with one fair size scuff on the front of the grips, just behind the trigger guard. Original cardboard box shows moderate wear to the graphic all around, but is otherwise fine. Accessories are fine, appearing to be unused with the exception of one of the magazines, which shows some minor wear and some silvering on the edges. A very attractive example of a La France Specialties Z-70L submachine gun, with only a very few of this model being registered as fully transferable machine guns. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. -MLW-
