Thompson "L", 50 round drum magazine. Marked "MAGAZINE TYPE "L"/THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN/50 CARTRIDGES CAL .45/FOR 1928 WIND TO/9 OR 11 CLICKS", on the faceplate. The Thompson bullet logo appears under the winding key and under that reads "WIND TO 9 OR 11 CLICKS". Rear plate is marked "AUTO-ORDANCE CORP./BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT/REGISTERED IN THE/U.S. PATENT OFFICE". With “U” proofmark. No markings on the winding key. Original matte blued finish. Rotor is blued. Includes correct original un-marked cardboard box from when originally sold. CONDITION: Metal is excellent with a few scuffs and scratches. Crisp markings. Mechanics are crisp and positive. No indication that this drum was ever used. Box is near excellent. JWK
